Built for pranks, not for fraud.
A voice changer is only fun when everyone's laughing at the end. These guardrails are built into the service.
No caller ID spoofing
Calls show your own verified number, or a Callmeleon number if you turn that off. Never a fake number or anyone else's.
No recordings
Your voice is changed live, in memory, and the audio is not stored. There's no call recording feature.
Anyone can opt out
Don't want Callmeleon calls? Ask us to block your number and no one can call it through the service.
No emergency numbers
911, N11 services, toll-free and premium numbers can't be dialled. It isn't a phone replacement.
Rate limits
One live call at a time, daily call caps, and a limit on repeat calls to the same number.
Adults only
Callmeleon is for people 18 and over, with a verified phone number for every account.
Never use it to
- Harass, threaten or scare anyone
- Scam people or ask for money, codes or passwords
- Pretend to be a bank, police, government or a real person
- Make false reports, hoaxes or "swatting" calls
- Telemarket, robocall or call people who opted out
- Record calls without the consent the law requires
We suspend accounts that break these rules and respond to valid legal process. Read the Acceptable Use Policy.
Questions, answered.
Does the person I call need Callmeleon?
No. They receive a normal phone call on their regular phone and hear your changed voice. Only you need the app.
Which numbers can I call?
At launch, Callmeleon is available in the United States and calls go to US phone numbers. Emergency numbers (911), N11 services, toll-free and premium-rate numbers are blocked, as are numbers whose owners have opted out.
What number does the other person see?
When you sign in, we verify your phone number with our carrier. By default your call shows that verified number. You can switch this off in Account → Caller ID, and then the call shows a Callmeleon business number instead. We never display a fake number or someone else's number.
Are my calls recorded?
No. Your audio is processed live, only to change your voice and connect the call, and is not stored. We keep basic call records (number dialled, time, duration, credits used) for billing and safety. See the Privacy Policy.
How does billing work?
6 credits = 1 minute, and the app shows everything in minutes. You're charged per started minute, and only when the call is answered. Subscriptions add minutes each period. Unused plan minutes don't roll over, but top-up minutes never expire.
How do I cancel?
Open Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Callmeleon → Cancel. You keep your plan and minutes until the end of the period you've paid for. More on cancellations and refunds.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases are made through Google Play, so refunds go through Google Play's refund process. We also review billing problems such as a call that dropped and was still charged. Email hi@callmeleon.space. Read the refund policy.
Someone pranked me. How do I stop calls to my number?
Use our opt-out page. Once your number is on the list, no one can call it through Callmeleon. To report an abusive call, email hi@callmeleon.space with the date and time.
Is it on iPhone?
Callmeleon launches on Android first, through Google Play. iPhone is on the roadmap. Email us for early access news.
Your next call could be anyone.
Callmeleon is coming to Google Play in the US. Want in early? Drop us a line and we'll send you an invite.
