callmeleonThis page explains how minutes, subscriptions and top-ups work. It is part of our Terms of Service. All prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes are calculated by Google Play at checkout.
1. How minutes work
- 6 credits = 1 minute of calling. The app shows your balance in minutes.
- Calls are charged per started minute. A call lasting 1 minute 10 seconds uses 2 minutes.
- You're charged only for answered calls. Calls that aren't answered, are busy or fail to connect are free.
- You need at least one minute to start a call. When your available minutes run out, the call ends automatically.
- When you make a call, we use the minutes that expire soonest first. Top-up minutes, which never expire, are used last.
- Voice previews in the app are free.
2. Free minutes
New accounts get 2 free minutes (12 credits), valid for 7 days. Free minutes are given once per phone number. Deleting an account and signing up again with the same number doesn't give a new bonus. We may change or end the free-minutes offer at any time; that won't affect minutes already given.
3. Subscriptions

- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, and Google Play charges your payment method the then-current price until you cancel. Google Play shows the price and renewal period before you confirm.
- Minutes each period: your plan's minutes are added at the start of each period and expire at the end of that period. Unused plan minutes don't roll over.
- Changing plans: when you switch to a different plan, the new plan starts right away and you get its full minutes for the new period. Google Play charges the new plan's price and credits any unused value of your old plan according to its own rules.
- Missed payments: if a renewal payment fails, Google Play may give you a short grace period while it retries, during which your plan stays active. If payment still fails, the subscription is paused or ends.
4. Top-ups
Top-ups are one-time purchases of extra minutes. They can only be bought while you have an active subscription, and top-up minutes never expire while your account exists.

If a top-up is bought without an active subscription (for example, if your plan ended at the same moment), we don't complete the purchase, and Google Play refunds it automatically within about 3 days.
5. Minutes have no cash value
Credits and minutes are a licence to use the Service, not money or property. They have no cash value and can't be transferred, sold or exchanged. They're lost when they expire, when you delete your account, or if your account is closed for breaking our rules. Refunds are covered in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Payments
All purchases are processed by Google Play under your Google account, and Google Play's terms and payment policies apply. We receive confirmation of your purchase (order ID, product and purchase token) but never your card or bank details.
7. Cancelling
- Cancel anytime in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Callmeleon → Cancel subscription.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. You keep your plan and its minutes until then, and you won't be charged again.
- Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
8. Price changes
We may change prices. For subscriptions, Google Play notifies you before a higher price applies, as Google Play rules and the law require, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
